OptiBiotix wins low six-figure order from weight management firm
OptiBiotix Health PLC on Monday said it has received a first order from a ‘well-known’ weight management company following an agreement announced in August.
The York, England-based life sciences firm said the low six-figure first order includes the supply of a range of private label SlimBiome finished products such as gummies, bars, drinks, and a WellBiome product planned for delivery and launch in Europe under the distributor’s own brand in the first half of 2026.
OptiBiotix Health said this is consistent with a strategy of providing more finished product either via ecommerce or private label products to customers.
‘The order reflects the growing interest in bringing ingredients with human studies demonstrating appetite reduction, similar to the anti-obesity drugs, to brands looking to enter this fast growing ’natural alternative to GLP1 market’,’ said Chief Executive Stephen O’Hara.
Shares in OptiBiotix Health were up 6.7% at 8.27 pence each in London on Monday.
