Aviva independent directors to leave; appoints Amanda Blanc to board

Insurer and wealth manager Aviva said independent directors Glyn Barker and Claudia Arney would stand down at the end of the year.

The company said it had appointed Amanda Blanc as a new director, effective 2 January, to succeed Arney and was searching for a replacement for Barker.

Blanc was previously head of AXA UK and Ireland and had also served as head of EMEA and global banking at Zurich Insurance.
